Georgina’s Comeback
CASE STUDY #1
Initial Consultation
Georgina first approached us before discovering she would need a partial hip replacement. Once her diagnosis was confirmed and surgery scheduled, we designed a pre-operative programme focused on strengthening the muscles around her hip. This preparatory phase aimed to promote a smoother recovery and reduce the risk of post-surgical complications.
Pre-Operative Program
The pre-operative exercises were specifically tailored to build strength in key muscle groups supporting the hip joint. This groundwork was essential for ensuring Georgina entered surgery in the best possible condition.
Post-Operative Rehabilitation
After the surgery, we transitioned to a comprehensive rehabilitation plan. The programme was designed to help Georgina regain her strength, confidence and self-esteem through a carefully structured exercise routine.
— Georgina M, 71yrs
Rehabilitation Exercises
The rehabilitation included targeted exercises such as:
- Supine Hip Bridges: To strengthen glutes and core stability.
- Banded Abductions: To enhance hip mobility and stability.
- Stationary Cycling: To improve circulation, rebuild endurance and support mobility.
Outcome
Today, Georgina enjoys an active lifestyle, regularly walking and swimming in the natural pool behind her home. Her tailored exercise programme has allowed her to regain independence, improve mobility and embrace life to the fullest once again.
